Chamaecyparis 'Chirimen' is a \"dwarf\" conifer with crinkled green foliage adorning the irregular, upright branches, much like the silk crepe fabric used to make Japanese kimonos. First introduced from Japan in the early 1990s, there aren't many mature plants, but our nine year old specimen has reached 6' tall x 3' wide, without any chemical fertilizers.
