This new variegated native North American witch hazel comes from Robert Wilkinson of Walnut Hill Farms Nursery, who discovered this amazing sport in their nursery. The brightly edged yellow foliage adorns the branches throughout the growing season, followed by the lightly fragrant yellow flowers that adorn the branches in fall, usually between Halloween and Thanksgiving. Trials have shown no foliar burning even in full sun in the hot southeastern US. Be the first in your area to grow this variegated native gem.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1527/8799/files/Hamamelis-virginiana-Little-Prospect.i-15003.s-65862.r-1.jpg?v=1791997842
sabal-palmetto-bald-head
Sabal palmetto Bald Head

Our offering of Sabal palmetto 'Bald Head' are seed grown from a Jesse Perry seed collection from the northern most native stand of Sabal palmettos in the country on Bald Head Island, NC. Our oldest plants from these collections are now 20 years old, and have proven hardier that any other palmetto palms we've tried. Cyrilla 'Tom Patrick' was discovered as a witch's broom mutation by Ron Determann of the Atlanta Botanical Garden and the now deceased Tom Patrick, longtime head botanist for Georgia Department of Natural Resources. The tight congested growth forms a natural bonsai, clothed in semi-evergreen narrow green leaves. In early June, the plants are adorned with a stunning pollinator-laden floral show of clusters of white racemes.
