bletilla-ochracea-dawns-early-light
Bletilla ochracea Dawns Early Light

Bletilla ochracea is one of the prizes of the orchid genus, Bletilla, hailing from southern China into Vietnam. We acquired this form as
Bletilla ochracea light yellow, so we added the cultivar name, Bletilla 'Dawn's Early Light'. Starting in mid-June and continuing into August (NC), the 30" tall spikes emerge from the wide, pleated green foliage, each laden with 3-5 flowers which emerge light yellow and age to white, with a bright golden-orange lip. Bletilla ochracea prefers more sun, for us growing well in 4-6 hours of sun. Although quite drought tolerant, moist rich soils will result in much happier plants.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1527/8799/files/Bletilla-ochracea-Dawns-Early-Light.i-18849.s-68276.r-1.jpg?v=1787068458
