As best we can determine, all of the material in cultivation is a single clone collected in Bhutan and distributed by its namesake, Mr. Green. For us, Hedychium greenii has survived since 2007 including one winter at 9 degrees F. The 3' tall stalks, that emerge for us in late June, are adorned with dark olive green, red-backed leaves. The stalks are topped, starting in mid-July and lasting until fall, with orange-red terminal flowers. Since Hedychium greenii is sterile, it has learned to reproduce by plantlets that form on the old flower stalks.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Plant Delights Nursery","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":21028625413,"sku":"8596","price":27.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1527\/8799\/products\/Hedychium-greenii.i-8596.s-62117.r-1.jpg?v=1653332148","url":"https:\/\/www.plantdelights.sbs\/products\/hedychium-greenii","provider":"Plant Delights Nursery","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
