The flowers open bright golden yellow (RHS 14A) surrounding a central pattern of orange buds. As the flowers age, the old flowers change to a colorful pattern of orange, red, and pink. As with the parent, L. 'Sonrise' is sterile as long as it is not tempted by other fertile cultivars.
