I have longed for a compact, heavily-banded Zebra miscanthus, and this Miscanthus 'Strictus' seedling is what I envisioned in my dreams. Miscanthus 'Gold Bar' makes a slow-growing clump, eventually to 4' tall, with rigidly upright green leaves with a very heavy horizontal yellow banding. Miscanthus 'Gold Bar' has 12-17 bands per leaf, while Miscanthus 'Strictus' has only 2-3 bands. It will take at least 5 years to reach mature size. The deer-resistant clump is topped with typical miscanthus inflorescence in late October.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Plant Delights Nursery","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":21027991237,"sku":"7494","price":21.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1527\/8799\/products\/Miscanthus-sinensis-Gold-Bar-PP-15193.i-7494.s-60261.r-1_113b4d0d-fce6-479e-9d66-0a8f26c60ad1.jpg?v=1659365120","url":"https:\/\/www.plantdelights.sbs\/products\/miscanthus-sinensis-gold-bar-pp-15193-zebra-grass","provider":"Plant Delights Nursery","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
