In the wild, P. wrightiana are almost always found at the base of a large rock, where moisture can be stored during times of extreme drought. Our offering is grown from our original spore collections in Jeff Davis Co., Texas, at 5,000' elevation from a form that was slightly smaller and more compact than normal.
